Kits, are they the problem?
Unturned is a survival based game but with community mods I find kits to take the aspects of survival taken out of the game.

Kits in my opinion

Kits has been in the game for quite awhile made by modders but in my opinion this just makes the game easier or just purely choking the aspect of a survival game where most survival games needs this aspect to keep the game relevent and get loot, this is the main factor of Survival games like DayZ, Rust or Minecraft.

While I dont see this potentionally being removed from Most Servers but as I heard that they are on nearly every server but I just avoid these servers, play vanllia style without the assistants of kits.

Play singleplayer, or a vanllia server

Yes I will get alot of people saying this but the point of the discussion is about kits and how they are affecting pretty much the game and squeezing the aspect of a survival game from Unturned.

"I dont want kits to be removed!!!"

I honestly I dont want kits removed but honestly there some kit choices on servers have like Kit military and taking this will grant you a set of Military items without effort of going there and getting items like a gun without being offered to you just for free.

Conclusion, Discuss!

Now this might turn to a ♥♥♥♥show of a flamewar but I want it to remain civil then just yelling at each other that kits are the best thing that this game has to offer and would start a flame war like disagreements.

I'm just going to end it here, is Kits are the problem or just basically an option for most server owners?

I play both Creative (full) and vanilla but don't care for kits. If I want to play survival I don't want people spamming kits to get metal, meds, and ammo.

I Hate Op kits because it takes all of the fun out of the game as everyone just goes around killing people and that's fine but not with op kits as someone who grinded for let's say a hells fury will be not happy to know that a fresh spawn has full military gear. To say it briefly there is no point to try to get hard to get gear as the kits are op and give the player a weapons that will last them till they die. But Not op kits are fine as they give fresh spawns a easy start and make dieing not that bad.

They're cancer even in arena. If you're playing something like Alpha Valley where you can spawn DIRECTLY INFRONT OF PEOPLE it becomes a bullshit RNG game.

Kits don't have to go, I just wish there were more Vanilla servers.

Just find a vanilla server :T

The problem is the community laps up kits. Kits wouldn't be the problem if nobody used them.

Kits should be balanced depending on the issue they are creating.
If kits give you enough food to live to the kit reset, it takes away the need to farm food. Solution? Kit that gives you one letuce with a cooldown of 10 minutes.
if kits can be farmed for metal, like lowgrade gun with little cooldown, it takes away pretty much all the looting and leaves you with bullets to spend on players and zombies. i was on a normal server with a colt on 2 min cooldown and that worked pretty allright

clothes are okay too.
i dont have anything against kits, but i play without them so no one can exploit them or anything else. the only way i know it's fair for all is if i play vanilla

The most popular servers are kit servers which means that new players will most likely play on them first and then they become dependant on kits because they've never played without them.

well in that case it seems that the only right thing to do is force people out of their comfort zone and disable kits. That would be amusing.
But if people want to play with kits, and there are other people that want to play with kits, then let them play with each other. Don't really see how that could affect the people who play vanilla. If vanilla players join kit servers, that could go both ways, horrible experience or maybe player gets an idea how to use the kits to his advantage, mixing with the survival skills he already owns.

It depends on how they are made. OP kits are never fun, but sometimes balanced moderate kits can be fun. But being able to spawn a free minigun... Just no.

NOO! Not another one of these!

I'm not trying to force anyone to play vanilla, I'm just giving my theory on how kits have become so popular.

I've stopped playing this game mostly, until 4.0 is out. It will probably take a very long time but hopefully it will be as survival oriented as people say it will be.

What's wrong with them, are people not allowed to give their opinion on aspects of the game?

I also think that this is a cause
