if you plant a seed into a planter or plot is there any bonuses that you dont get from the ground that you get in the planter or plot? or is it just a way to farm on places like the yukon?

Planter/plot allies you to grow stuff without the need of a suitable ground.

No bonuses other than that, really. It's only great in Yukon, sometimes in other maps

They can be placed indoors, meaning planting indoors where your crops will be safe from theft.

If you build your base on a hill the grass will clip into the side of your base and you can plant food there. No planters required. Very handy.

Also salvage the planter and place it again and again in different spots to have floating plants everywhere.
