So I'm fairly new to the game and was exploring the maps in singleplayer to learn all of the mechanics and locations, but even when I set my armour multipler to max, I still get oneshot by boss zombies. I can't progress at all. I'd like to discover the game at my own pace before going into multiplayer, but these boss zombies oneshot me no matter what. Any ideas on how to stop this?

turn the difficulty to easy , this disabled mega zombies
if you want, enable durability(spoiled food and lower weapon performance) and disable map(for a new player, dont advise u to do this)
if you want, turn on the different zombie kinds (sprinter, crawler etc.) u want and adjust loot rates.

I've put the difficulty to easy, not touched the spawn rates (Other than 0.025 spawn rates for the Flamethrower, Sparker, and Groundpunder (?)) and given myself all perks, the "Hell's Fury", and gotten just in range, walking away unloading three clips into the boss' face, and getting oneshot instantly. My armour multiplier is at 10,000,000 and I oneshot normal zombies. The bad part is I can't even survive exploring the maps because I get instaspotted like my perks don't even matter. My meele oneshots, my fists twoshot, but the boss zombies just don't take any damage apparently. Loot is at full, but no matter what I do (Even a tank), the Boss zombies just shake it off.

soemthings not right. sure you didnt mess with any boss configs?

also, crouch/prone to go with zombies, it greatly helps

I didn't touch anything other than the spawn rates, my armor, drops, and xp multipliers. But a Hell's Fury three drums to the face doesn't kill them

I'm on easy, but if I do that, I can't progress to find any bosses, quests, or any cool items. Plus I want to get an idea of what actually fighting bosses ingame or online legitimatly would be like

I know of a server called Lithium that's creative.

Armor multipliers also apply to zombies, and you need to have clothing for them to take effect.

Don't change anything, it should be fairly easy to take one down with a Hell's Fury.

I once found a creative pve server xD
It would be great for practicing against zombies for beginners

Creative Pve arena servers are the best.
