Can't Refill Bottle

I have crafted both a birch bottle and a pine bottle and when I walk to the water and right-click nothing happens. How do I fill these bottles?

Try using rain barrels and water containers instead.

I've tried it in singleplayer and it no longer works same goes for the other canteens.
