The Last Tour Operator - a couple of things. :-(
I loaded up Sunless Sea again after seeing there was a new patch, and had an objective to visit Whither to pick up Strategic Information. Figuring I'd make a round trip, stopping at Whither, then exploring for a bit until my supplies ran low enough I'd have cargo space to hit up the Salt Lions and make some money on my way back to town, I loaded up my Hold with Fuel and Supplies.

On the way towards Whither, I stopped in at Venderbight (might as well grab a Port Report while I'm there) and saw a new quest that wasn't there previously.
Take some Tomb Colonists sightseeing? Not a problem! I can swing around on my way out - or make a second trip south after stopping back in at London.

I'm not sure if it's because my Hold was full, or because there was some text I missed, but all of a sudden I have 12 individual Tomb Colonist 'items' in my hold, and have lost 120 Echoes worth of Supplies (at London prices - more if I were to replenish them elsewhere.)
( Screenshot )

If I wasn't meant to lose 12 Supplies, could there please be a warning or something to indicate that if I take on this quest it will require me to have more inventory space when I've not got enough left? At the very least, it would have allowed me to sell items to make room, rather than having it vanish into the aether. (It wouldn't be the first time I've died due to unexpected fuel/food shortages.)

--

The other thing is that this quest doesn't give any indication afterwards as to where I should go. After picking up the tomb colonists, I went and did other stuff, then came back to the game. Because I'd forgotten, I went to check my Journal to see where I should take these tourists - only to find it didn't show where to go. Because I had the previous issue I could refer back to the screenshot and see where to go, but without that I would have had 12 Tomb Colonists clogging my 40-capacity Hold and no indication of what to do with them.

Even when I did get them down to Gaider's Mourn (and succeeded the test, even against difficult odds), I didn't have any indication of where to go with them. So I took them back to Venderbight - but apparently that wasn't the right place to go because there was no quest continuation there.
Because the update is new there's no info on the Wiki either that I can refer to.

Where am I meant to take these tomb colonists?
(Can we please Please PLEASE have some kind of quest log, so we can see which objectives we've accepted but have yet to complete? Some of them, like the Admiralty Commision tasks, will name the destination - but not all of them do have it easily visible, at least not after you've accepted the thing.)

You're right, the warning wasn't clear enough: we'll add it in the next patch.

However, you should be able to get an indication of the next destination by mousing over the 'Trouble with Tomb-Colonists' quality. (Which isn't a very helpful name - we'll rename it for the next content drop.)
That's weird. I did that quest just today and it told me where to go every single time. If it's the same for everyone, it's Gaider's Mourn, then Polythreme, then Irem.

The supplies thing is working as intended and has nothing to do with hold space. It's supposed to take 12 supplies in exchange for the 12 Tomb-Colonists, just like going to the Surface immediately takes, what is it now, 22 supplies? and talking to that guy in the Shepherd Isles about the rest of the zee immediately takes your wine and 15 supplies. This is shown by the little icon and text that say the Last Tour action requires 12 supplies. Most of the time, an action that requires consumable items will, well, consume them. (Though I agree it wouldn't go amiss to have some way of marking "X required, but will not be consumed" vs "X required, and will be consumed".)

Edit: As to visibility, couldn't this easily be solved just by making Stories expanded by default rather than collapsed into an icon-grid? Sure, icon-grid is prettier, but the moment I saw it was expandable I expanded it and kept it that way.

Interesting solution with the "objectives" category. Surely some of the other stories also could do with being placed there?

I (and I think I can speak for most of us if I say "we") am/are very much glad to hear this, Alexis. Keep up the great work! :-D

I had no idea you could expand the stuff in the journal, thanks for that info!
I've had so many issues with finding out objectives, it's really something you should look into fixing for new players..
Technically, I think you can access the same amount of information with the stories expanded OR collapsed -- I just find the expanded format a helluva lot easier to read, haha.

I'm having a similar issue. The destinations do NOT show up in the Journal, neither for this quest nor for the Blind Bruiser's first delivery. My tour started in Shepherd's and says it ends in Irem but with no indication of what the second destination is.
IIRC, the Blind Bruiser's first delivery is always to Mount Palmerston. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for this on my next captain and nab screenshots of whatever comes my way.

I just ran this quest, and after the second stop in Polythreme it told me the quest was over so I tried heading back to Venderbight and got no message. Ending up selling the tomb colonists back in the store, for a net loss on the trip of 5 echoes a head, not even counting fuel & rations for the voyage and incidentals on the way.

Hi, folks - we *should* have fixed issues with this plotline a couple of weeks back. If you're still seeing them, do please

(i) ensure you have the latest version, and use Get New Stories to be 100% sure you're up to date
(ii) if you're still seeing issues, drop us a line at sunlesssea@failbettergames.com, and include your save file - then we can dig into exactly whatwhich is going wrong.

Thanks!

I sold the 12 tombs, Can i just buy 12 random ones and take them instead?

Also what are all these colour pages for?

Im loving this game, thank you Alexis. Im a huge fan of H.P. Lovecraft and steampunk, so to see the combo together is great :)
Ran them on TWO runs just today actually.
