However, you should be able to get an indication of the next destination by mousing over the 'Trouble with Tomb-Colonists' quality. (Which isn't a very helpful name - we'll rename it for the next content drop.)
The supplies thing is working as intended and has nothing to do with hold space. It's supposed to take 12 supplies in exchange for the 12 Tomb-Colonists, just like going to the Surface immediately takes, what is it now, 22 supplies? and talking to that guy in the Shepherd Isles about the rest of the zee immediately takes your wine and 15 supplies. This is shown by the little icon and text that say the Last Tour action requires 12 supplies. Most of the time, an action that requires consumable items will, well, consume them. (Though I agree it wouldn't go amiss to have some way of marking "X required, but will not be consumed" vs "X required, and will be consumed".)
Edit: As to visibility, couldn't this easily be solved just by making Stories expanded by default rather than collapsed into an icon-grid? Sure, icon-grid is prettier, but the moment I saw it was expandable I expanded it and kept it that way.
I've had so many issues with finding out objectives, it's really something you should look into fixing for new players..
(i) ensure you have the latest version, and use Get New Stories to be 100% sure you're up to date
(ii) if you're still seeing issues, drop us a line at sunlesssea@failbettergames.com, and include your save file - then we can dig into exactly whatwhich is going wrong.
Thanks!
Also what are all these colour pages for?
Im loving this game, thank you Alexis. Im a huge fan of H.P. Lovecraft and steampunk, so to see the combo together is great :)
