Please add Community translations !

Dear Dev's,

my English is not to the best but by far not the worst on this World :-) And your Story's are very very difficult to understand for a non-nativ English Speaker, sometimes even if i know every Vocable i sometime dont get the Joke.

So please add Community translations so everybody can enjoy your Game in a full great Experience.

Nobody wants this thread locked, but use your words civilly even when being negative in any language. This is as close to "disrespectable" I will show in public.

I'm simply telling all people to stop posting "I like adding my language +1" and start volunteering to work. if I had any development aptitude (I do not) I would personally be doing this myself. Now since you now seem to be leading this thread, go lead others to organize them working on languages and stop these people from cluttering the thread with "this language too +1" wasted replies. That's all I will post on the manner.

Where did i say that you want the Thread locket? I just did say that you seems for me entitlet(And i still think this) because i ask someone if they could translate it for free and you post "then pay it forward" why you do this? It doesnt even affect you why you come into this Thread and troll? Yea for me it's trolling. But yea you are succesfully you have my Attention.

I dont know why some Guy's in this Thread have a Problem with when somebody would say "I would like to translate it for free"

And yes this already happend Life is Strange got a really great German translation made for free from the Community and i think here are maybe some People who have fun doing such a Project.

And i dont lead this to be honest my English isn't very good im just a Customer who have hopes that somebody come and say "I will do it".

So that i finally understand the Game :-)

First off, You can get the tips to mod the game here.

I need to say I do not have the aptitude to develop. If this is or is not something "easy" or "hard" to do with editing and linking JSON files, that's up to the developers of mods. Here is where they discuss that. And over here is the Mod forum

And technically, yes, it should allow modding "in-game" text if you were going to be able to add stories adding ships, crew and so forth requiring or altering in game text.


The same methods can "translate" or at least "make easier" the linked JSON files called for text. One still would either need a mod that swaps the language or literally translate the files directly into their language if not using a mod. But it now is possible to do such things and permitted by Failbeter (if not done for profit of course.)

There is already an addon system that would allow you to translate most of the game. Once you get a fair ways through that, then you could ask Failbetter to allow you to translate the bits that can't be reached. But, as they earlier pointed out that there's more text than in Moby ♥♥♥♥, it will probably be a while before you're done.

My English is quite okay to get around for the most part, but I clearly prefer reading such huge amounts of text in my native language. Why not start a Kickstarter for translations, devs?
