I cant get Genial Magician I think its a bug...

Hello this is my third captain.... I have enough money to buy the maenad frigate.
Which means I have enough experience about this game. So here is my complain.
I tried everything to get Genial Magician but I just cant find him.
Of course I visit London time to time and everytime when I visit London,the first thing I check is
A new recruit. Im aware of Another Day: A New Recruit? value of 3 or 4.
I check everytime but instead all those unnessasary officer come instead of this magician.
How the hell I can get hand of Genial Magician. Im so annoyed that Im very close to using
a cheat engine. Which Im going to do if I have to restart one more time.

Just buy all the other officers. it will force him to be the only option. No big deal
Alternately, there is some other port where he generally is if you don't have him but I dont remember which

You can recruit all the officers and leave them unassigned. There is no down-side in having them all on-board. The more the merrier. Just more people for you to eat or other-wise murder. :)

If you're that desperate, just undock from London, wait for SAY, then dock again and see if he's available. Rinse and repeat until he's there.

No option is always an option. The other officers don't lock him out in any way, either from having them or from not having them.

Also, I don't believe the Genial Magician can be found anywhere but in London.

I had this as well, but decided to start completely fresh, and he was choice number 2 after the irresistable cannoneer.

got the same problem with my game last days, the genial magician took a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long time to become available, keep trying he'll come, one day, maybe :D

What wlerin said, basically:
- you have to try and "farm" him out in London
- he does not appear in any other ports
- and no, getting all other officers does not make sure that you'll get him.

On a personal note, it's pretty annoying that he's not obtainable 100% from any other port.
Sometimes it takes so long to get him that it would be easier just to go to Adam's Way or Irem for him.
Irem would even make sense because of his story.

@Unit49311 yeah, only use the Magician if there's a Mirrors check coming, otherwise it's Maybe's Rival (her story is just so easy and straghtforward and worth) for me, and ofc the Mechanic, if I don't have her yet.
