That guide helped me a lot. It gives you good places to find certain enemies. I also have to add that sometimes the game says there are no public connected contracts avaliable, but if you go back and forth a public one may pop up. The game sometimes doesn't find public contracts so be sure to check a few times. It's just harder for everyone when there are 3 public contracts with space open and everyone is working on their own.

So if lazy people join connected contracts, and they do no work, they get no reward. They also do not help anyone that joins their connected contracts either.
Its been awhile since I played the game but I thought that the killing captains and high ranking soldiers was one of the easier ones to achieve on your own. I think that I had Oni set up for farming them and then set difficulty to 1 or as low as you need to 1 shot everyone. Its kind of boring, but if you are just trying to get an achievement that no one else wants to contribute to, then its about the quickest way to do it.
i didn't think the harder guys spawn on easier setting, but i could be wrong. If this is the case, then i guess using oni would work on difficulty 1 to one hit ko those guys.
