Although of course there will be a Saints row 5!
A new game was confirmed after THQ Nordic bought the owners of Saints Row; Deep Silver Volition and Koch Media.

the question is how will they change it? will saints row 3 and 4 be some drug the protagonist took and the protagonist wakes up in order to finish where they left off, to kill dex? even if saints row has to be about different gangs i dont care. i just want the old format back, but if it dont come back. eh i expect it so i wont be too pissed.
I love all the SR games, and would love to see anything Volition's crazy, wacked out, insane devs want to toss out there. I won't try and tie their hands. I love SR 1 thought IV, all for different reasons. So superpowers, no superpowers, gang-banging, more sci-fi....WHATEVER, I am in. As long as its another awesome SR game!
I don't think that the west has anything to do with it. This is all about some developers and publishers being gutless and some resoundingly following their vision regardless of attempts at censorship-oriented sanctions, like petitions and such.
I am a huge fan of Saints Row and GTA, and while the two franchises are markedly different, one commonality is that both Rockstar and Volition flat-out refuse to pander to the "Content-Police"
My hope and full expectation is that Volition will continue to make Saints Row games they way THEY see them, and not cave to the moral majority.
