However I do agree with you on the $20 price though. this game fits a $10 price tag at least
The puzzles are less complicated because in a way, that’s not what the game is about. INSIDE isn’t trying to stump the player and the world isn’t out to get you like it is in Limbo (crates can’t fall on and kill you, for example). INSIDE isn’t meant to be a trial-by-death game in the same way Limbo was. I would argue that the developers intended you to spend less time worrying about obstacles and more time taking in the world around you.
There is definitely a plot to the game, and lore and all of that – if you’re willing to look for it. But don’t fault the devs for not spoonfeeding it to you. If you don’t like the fact that the game makes you draw your own conclusions, that’s fine, everyone has their own preferences. But realize that some people are really into the kind of subtle storytelling INSIDE does. Maybe the game was meant to appeal more to them?
Limbo is pretty match based on every game design technique used in Another World, which was probably 1st of this kind of immersive adventure-platformer-puzzles. Prince of persia was eariler, but level design was still more like traditional platformer and never felt like real world, Prince of Persia 2 on the other hand actually was like Another World, there also was Flashback a semi-sequel to Another World, but its added some immersion breaking elements like inventory, so i dont count it, and Heart of darkness was probably the best high budged successor to another world and had same develoiper behind it. It was actually pretty close to Limbo and Inside in terms of - you play as boy in weird dark world where everything can kill you violently. But heart of darkness had more solid story, with less of abstraction and with some nice mix of dark humor, childish and adult themes. And recently there was a game Max and Brotherhood which look just like spiritual sequel to Heart of Darknes and even story feels similar - boy enters another world in a search for lost beloved \ relative and faces powers of darkness, the only major difference is that instead of lost dog this time boy lost his bro. In limbo boy lost his sister, and i think you get the pattern already.
Limbo never was original and first. If you will take its atmospher and style - its directly inspired by David Lynch's Eraser-head, which can be proved by fact that developer of game her on forums calls himself Gormonbojia - which is sort of nectar that demons from David Lynch's Twin Peaks Fire Walk with me used to eat, and whole direction of game pretty much reminds direction of Lynch movies.
I dont mean that its bad, im just enlightening you, that your criticism of INSIDE just because it not as original and 1st as limbo was is pretty much irrational, because Limbo was not original as well.
I like how you start a discussion, asking for input and then insult the people posting legitimate answers.
If you can't handle criticism, what the hell are you doing on a forum?
This, with its Denuvo (Lotta good that did Playdead, eh?) addition, wasn't even on my list of possibilities for purchase.

As far as i can read, all this trouble was because of the developer. They failed to implement Denuvo in their game so it caused bugs, when the player tried to get technical help they banned him. This is just a developer who is retarded. Denuvo works fine if you have a good developer using it like playdead.
Works fine?
I wonder if Playdead thinks so.
All that money they spent to license it and the game was cracked in six weeks?
It's not doing its job, at least not for long, and it causes issues with legitimate customers. That's an issue.
