Just tried today's seed. Not only is it solvable, but about half the column/diagonal clues are completely superfluous.

And yet not one puzzle has been shared on here that was proven to be only solvable by guessing. IF you find one, we'll show you what you missed.
It is absolutely true, and no, your puzzle did not end like that - you missed some bit of information that the puzzle was giving you to be able to solve it definitively.
We see this claim a lot, but every single time it's made and backed up with a puzzle seed it turns out to be solvable through logic.
