Not CAPCOM related but, yes, I'm also waiting for a PE2 Remake. Wonderful game!
That's a necessary risk... You're still left with the original/s if the remake/s turn out to be bad.
But if they turn out to be good... Then it's a win/win situation. No risk no possible win...
The situation involves a greater risk factor on the developer's side. There's much more at stake than your average Joe's favorite game getting slaughtered...
You see how the border between a remaster and a remake becomes so shallow... While raising up the poly count "and all that..." thus already switching to a different engine, doesn't yet scream a remake, "touching it up a little bit" (the gameplay... ) is kinda pointing towards a "re-envisioning"... a remake...
But I would be thrilled if they decided to make the game on a new engine and make it look awesome, while keeping the gameplay the same. Either way, I just want to play it in HD with solid controls.
