Aspect ratios and 4:3 Displays... ?

Don't know...But i never had this problem of setting 4:3 aspect ratio and getting black borders on the sides in any game before this. Tried every possible solution in Catalyst panel...gave up and using Wide.

do they still make 4:3 monitors? I thought that was illegal?

Huh? As far as I've heard, the 4:3 mode on this release is uncropped. While the Widescreen mode basically zooms in and crops the top and bottom, but basically gives you pan-and-scan.

Same here, 1280x1024 is smaller then it should be

if your having problems its because you set it to standard in your monitor its ment only to be in wide screen IF your playing it full otherwise if you have a 16:9 like me and want to play it classic you set it to standard if you got a 4:3 try setting it to wide screen it may seem weaird but its going to set it to the boarders like it would look normally if this doesn't help its your settings

1280x1024 is actually 5:4 though. The closest 4:3 res to that would be 1280x960.
