My character won't run
According to the controls menu I have to push X, well, that doesn't work. My X Button isn't broken, I even loaded up a different game to test it, but Jill just wants to take her sweet time when things are trying to turn her into one of the undead... with their teeth.

Delightful, more poor optimization.

Wanna know what's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? Even if I change the controls to another button, like say A for run and X for attack for example. A becomes completely useless and X will attack...

So Run just isn't a function I can do at all. What the ♥♥♥♥? I've stopped playing till I find a solution as the game will become unwinnable once Cerebus show up.

Play with original controls.

So Run doesn't work in Modern Controls period?

Ugh.. I'd rather not use Original Controls and have my character move like a tank, are there any alternative solutions?

Jessica, play with original controls it takes less than 10 min to get used to and it will allow you to not have to change direction with stick after each background.

Modern Controls do not have "Run" function... because it's supposed to be used with an Analog Stick... Push it light - you walk, Push it more - you run...

This leads me to a question... How does the aiming work with "Modern" style controls... ?
Does it "swap to tank" while aiming or something... ? it's kinda confusing in my head...

Eyup, swaps to tank. Also no, no matter what I try I CAN'T RUN with modern controls and I refuse to use "Human Tank" controls.

I would say original controls.

Sigh... look, is there a way to get my character to run using Modern Controls?

Yes, you need an Analog Stick... which implies a gamepad hooked to your PC...

if you are using modern controls on kb/mouse. then you hold shift to run, not x

But you don't have to let go the stick during transitions while using the modern controls, the character will move just fine until you let go that direction.
