Shotgun Room Bugged? (can't trigger the "help" scene)

I grabbed the shotgun (and the other items) get the cutscene, but it lets me back into the shotgun room, where I have to reset the trap. I can never get the "barry help" scene to toggle. The shotgun room is ALWAYS unlocked.

Anyone else had this issue?

I thought they removed the jill sandwich line from this? Stinks if they did lol. I always just got the broken one first so i never needed him.

I think you need to wait for the ceiling to come down quite a bit before attempting to return to the shotgun room. Let the ceiling come down over the height of the door before attempting to return the shotgun, and it should trigger.

if youve triggered the second cutscene with barry where he gives you the acid rounds, he will not come to help you with the shotgun room, have to get the broken shotgun or start over to get it.

Not 100% sure on this, but I think if you already ran into Barry in the main hall where he gives you the acid shells, then he won't show up to save you when you grab the shotgun.

It triggers almost immediately. You just have to check both doors. The thing is that it only works if you do it before meeting up with Barry again in the main hell.

If the shotgun room is unlocked, then that means you're past the point where Barry can save you from the trap. You need to find the broken shotgun somewhere in the west wing of the mansion and replace the real shotgun with that.

I was under the impression the 'save' would only be wasted on either the balcony scene or the shotgun room. Didn't realise it can be triggered right away, I always waited to make sure I didn't just enter the room again because I had runs where it wouldn't trigger while trying it myself and chalked that up as the reason it failed before. Good to know, thanks.

Yea, I had already met up with Barry in the main hall.

Now the question is, do I really want to start the game all over, or try to find someplace to ditch something from my inventory so that I can have both the good and broken shotguns at the same time, or start completely over?

There's an item box less than twenty feet away. If you haven't cleared the first floor near the item box, double back through the hallway that leads back to the main hall (keep running), go back through the second floor, avoid zombies, and get into the save room.

Alternatively go all the way back to the western wing of the Mansion for that item box since there are fewer zombies and the Broken Shotgun is near there anyway.

Either way, drop off your Ink Ribbon and other random items in the box, get the Broken Shotgun, and go get yourself a boomstick.

They replaced it with something a little less absurd
She does realistically react to the sudden realisation of an imminent painfull doom
so to have that comment right after would have been a WFT moment

The "master of unlocking" quote is gone however.
