Wesker Death? (spoilers?)

Just finished up my Chris playthrough and in the final Lisa Trevor fight Wesker got knocked of the edge of the arena. I then reloaded and did it again and this time he survived, then finished of the rest of the game.

Any REmake vets out there, what happens in the Tyrant lab cutscene and ending movie if Wesker is dead???

FYI, Rebecca and Jill were alive if that makes a difference.

As I remember Wesker has some kind of virus prototype in his body, that makes him really fast and strong, so he apparently survived the fall and Tyrant's stab to fake his own death on purpouse to fool others.

I was under the impression that he didn't have his godlike powers until after the tyrant killed him. Could be wrong though.

Well actually with Umbrella Chronicles they show that he injected himself with Birkin's virus shortly before all that; Not really infected in that sense. And it wasn't the T-Virus. He didn't have some "special blood type"

Wesker has a very rare trait that allows him to "control" the virus. It wouldn't have worked without that.

Well, I can be wrong though, but thats how I remember it. But I remember that he still planned his "death", so others would think that he is dead and he can continue his research on viruses.
