need help to continue

its the first time i play this version. was progressing pretty well but now im really stuck. i have entered the caves already and found my way out of this weird daughter creature cave system after barry left jill behind.

i have found the family stone frame, have 2 round medals, the wind crest and the jewelry box.
now here is were i am stuck. i still dont know how to enter the spancer room. i have no key left, i have tried the stone frame at the door, nothing worked. i have entered every room in the manson, residents, cave and court yard. i dint find anything either to open up the jewlery box.
what i still remember from the original 96 version that from the caves i could climb up a ladder to a big founton. but there is nothing.

so yes, where to go and how to enter the spancer room and the box.

You have to use the red jewel on the jewelry box.
It can be found on the room with the moving eagle, on the second floor of the mansion.

Combine the red gem and Jewelry box.

Found in the Animal Trophy head puzzle room; the room atop the stairwell above the "Serum" sanctuary save room.

ah yes, i do have the red gem. just the shape never looked like it will fit with it. i will continue tomorrow.

ill be damned. im stuck again.
ok, got in to the spancers room, combined the medal plate with the rock frame, placed it at the gate under the stairs of the main hall.
now what? i need a second one from the looks of it but where is it?

aslo, i have noticed on the map that there is a hidden room where you find the first dagger. how do i get in there?

you mean the cabin? i think i just walked in to it without any key. picked up everything i could fine. at least on the map it shows it in green.

they mean the last door of the mansion, before you go into the shed(courtyard). You placed a Stone and Metal object into the indentation to unlock to the door a while back. It's still there. Go back and grab it.

You need to beat the game to open that area. Using the Closet Key you're able to change into costumes you've unlocked.

i see. never thought of that since you never had to do this in the original.
