When i encountered my first one, i went into panic mode and pumped it full of a single shotgun shell point blank range, and it was dead. One shot, one kill.
Unfortunately I had no such luck. Whenever I fought Crimson Heads it was basically on par with fighting a Hunter in that I had to blast it several times, and more often than not, I would blast it until it fell down only for it to get back up again. I would kill them but not until I spent a decent amount of ammo.
I settled on squandering my Defense Items to get past them, since I only left two active in the Mansion (in the infamous My First V-ACT encounter hallway; the first Crimson Head killed the mirror zombie trying to get to me, which created a second one) and the rest were left to die in the endgame explosion.
Maaan, my first encounter with Crimson Head was in the Mirrors Room... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monster was hiding in the corner! That was some hardcore ♥♥♥♥!
