Does anyone actually prefer Chris to Jill?
I actually think he's a funner character to play, perhaps even better despite popular belief.

Sure you don't get the grenade launcher, but you get more shotgun ammo to compensate. No lock pick and 2 less inventory space but you receive lots of health from Rebecca throughout, far more headshots with zombies and can take more hits before dying. No need to carry the lighter separately either.

I just think Chris is better. :)

I prefer Jill for the extra space and because I get to have Barry bail me out of every bad situation.

Jill has 2 more slots, and lock pick doors. Chris has less slots, and needs to find keys to open doors that Jill can lock pick. but Chris can take more damage compared to Jill.

I know, I already pointed out pros and cons in op but just edited it to include the lighter.

In terms of just the character's them selfs, i like both the same, in terms of gameplay....Jill is just so much better.

I like both. The only downside to Chris is having to visit item boxes more often due to the small inventory.

But Chris has the best defense weapon since it instakills enemies and it's crimson-proof.

I only ever played RE1/Directors Cut, never played the GC version and I prefered playing Chris but I am finding him just a teeny tiny bit tedious in the remastered version, mainly because of the addition of the kerosine and other new puzzle items. Seems like backtracking to item crates is pretty much unavoidable even when trying to carry the bare minimum of items.

I forgot to mention those. Yep they are great too, allow for instant removal of enemies heads, Jill doesn't have this benefit.

I honestly liked Jill for two reasons, of course the more inventory slot. But really I always thought her scenario had a better story than Chris's. Even in the PS1 version I thought Jill's story was better.

Jill is easier than Chris for new players because exploring is more forgiving as Jill, however Chris in my eyes is the easier character when you know what you're doing, the only drawback being he has to visit more rooms in the first part of the game in mansion and in a rather 'linear' fashion because you need so many of the Old Keys, while Jill can skip those rooms entirely. Using the 2 mansion keys on the necessary doors to discard as quickly as possible is also something that gets on my nerves if I forget to tap one. After that he steamrolls the entire game, easier than Jill in my opinion and since you're mostly doing full heals, he ends up with twice as much survivability. Jill's ammo is also split between the grenade launcher and the shotgun while Chris is all shotgun, so you almost lose a space to that at times in shuffling between them for bosses, this will especially be more noticeable on Real Survival mode as you're going to have to move the grenade launcher around with you.

Personally I prefer Jill because I always forget to pick up an Old Key as Chris or dispose of a mansion key, Jill's initial exploration can be changed as much as you feel like and she can carry the mansion keys longer without problems for space. Lastly, Jill is the trademark lead character of the franchise for me, for other people it's Chris.

I prefer Jill just because RE3 was my first RE. No other reason, inventory slots aside, it looks like Chris is actually better at surviving with his increased health.

I am the only one who hates that outfit with passion?

Good grief, i always use Jill's STARS or Policewoman outfit for RE3.

You will never be able to convince me that carrying that tried up blouse around your waist is good Zombie Survival tactic.
