KNIFE only achievement information -MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS-

Hi guys.

I'm preparing myself for a knife only run to get the achievement. So, I know there're a lot of threads about that, and I've read the most of them but I still have some concerns. I hope someone can help me. Here we go:

-Mode requirements? NORMAL mode or ONCE AGAIN?
*-----Note this concern is about once again, in which when I start a game, I have only infinite granade launcher and the handgun, so I have to go to a box to grab the knife. Is that a problem?
-If playing as Jill: Can I skip the first encounter with Yawn by just entering, taking the death mask and leave? is that allowed?
-Also if playing as Jill: Can I skip the final Tyrant boss fight by getting the worst ending and still get the achievement?

You only fail the achievement if you hurt an enemy with any other weapon / stomp on their head / burn them. So it's fine to run to the chest to grab your knife. ;)

And yeah, you can skip Yawn, and get the worst ending. Other characters (Barry, Rebecca) hurting enemies doesn't affect you. You're good to go. =P

I have a question, How can I avoid to kill Yawn in the library the second time, to get the bock with the wolf medal?.

you can't. you have to kill it with a knife. which takes some time.

- Use Jill for inventory space for healing items, and use VJOLT so Barry kills P42.
- get worst ending.
- don't use curbstomp, defense items, lighter and oil.

best result i did it with chris easy mode, knife only on ps4 few days ago, only weapon you can fire is rocket launcher at the end boss dropped by chopper. got best ending saving both jill and rebecca. in 2hrs 42mins, yawn 1 run in pick up item run out. crimson knife him to death, yawn 2nd just stay close to bookshelf and knife him to death. plant 42 stay at bottom of stairs and knife it till first lot is gone then go to top level and finisah him off you dont need to make v jolt its slower and takes more time. skip spider boss, knife tyrant just keep running round him his slow. tyrant 2nd time bit easier if you want wait till 50 secs or so set item then fire rocket. i was knife fighting him first till found out doesnt matter what he gets hit with nothing kills him till rocket drops at around 40sec mark. hope that helps

this. if you get bad ending. you skip the Tyrant fight at the end.

I already did it. Was really simple, really. But thanks you all for the tips, could be useful for other people looking for information :)
