A rather useless emergency item because the magnum can one hit anything except bosses and sometimes spiders
Yes
However after you get to the residence the gaem becomes much easier,
shotgun ammo (and GL ammo for jill) are plentyfull - you can pretty much kill every hunter without needing to worry about ammo and crimsons are no longer a serious enough threat that you will want to ovoid creating them.
By the time you get to the lab you will have more magun ammo than you can ever use.
In the RE: Rebirth on GC it was as much powerful as around 5 Magnum rounds.
I've never heard of it being that powerful. As far as I know, its power is similar to a shot from Barry's magnum.
I prefer to use the self defence gun on plant 24.
that way i can use up any shotgun rounds i have left in the regular shotgun and finish the fight with hand gun rounds.
If i am going to use a magnum round on a hunter i may as well use the normal magum
To be honest ether shotgun is sufficent against hunters because a point blank range shot always knocks them down.
the trick is to let them get up before you shoot again because they cant be knocked down while they are getting up and if you shoot them again while the are down they will alwasy have time to finish getting up and get a swipe in before you can getthe 3rd shot in.
That said, this is hard to do when you have multiple hunters so the magnum is a good choice when you have multiple hunters.
It was kinda dissapointing, after shooting it I still had to shoot 3 more times with the shotgun, I dunno why I had taken so much expectations out of a .22 haha
dont waste anything ubove hand gun ammo on yawn 2
all you have to do is lead it behind the book case, run out the other side and shoot its tail with the handgun
with the new controls it should be extreamly easy to do the same thing with the knife. (although i have not got that far yet so for all i know there may be a camera switch in the middle of the area that make it awkward)
That's what I did actually haha
I was walking around with the handgun only, I didn't know Yawn's fight was on that room (I was thinking it would be one the same place as the PS1 resident evil) so when it came I had no option other than finish it with the handgun XD
