I suppose if they redid most of the texture work it would be worth playing again but I think I speak for everyone when I say Resident Evil 2 should be the priority if another remake is planned.
hey u know the first time ive played it, i thought mmm i guess that crapcom copy konamis games SILENT HILL cuase of the cameras and graphics and they did they copy konami, its a very deep game cause of alfred and alexia story, at the end that b*tch alexia deserved to die, she didnt want anyone, she wanted to be the queen pfff another crazy
Like I said man, its really not anything special. If you are really anxious to play, download null DC and crank up all possible graphics settings. If you own the DC game it's legal. :)
I actually expect more work than just a port, kinda like a remake or half of it, improving the character and enemies models would be nice, along with some improved lightning, i liked cvx back then, but i would hate a straight port, imo :(
I saw that but I just thought it was a straight port. Didn't know they did work to improve visuals on it.
It was already fully rendered polygon, not pre-rendered like the previous games, so it probably required a lot less work to update to HD.
Code Veronica & Zero are the only main Resident Evil games to have not been released on the PC yet (and something tells me soon it will be only Code Veronica).
I have tried both the HD version, and the emulated one.
The HD version is a little bit better, but not that much.
I hope it comes to Steam, even if they don't even touch it more.
It's a lazy task, Capcom should be able to do it.
Never saw it as HD, just Resident Evil Code : Veronica. So assumed it was just the PS2 version available on PSN.
An upscale so it doesn't look horrible on newer monitors is fine but I was talking more on the lines of improving models and environments.
Considering Capcom is already lazy enough to not release the Classic RE1/2/3 on Steam, your statement makes me sad.
They really made an HD version, even though it could be better.
It also has achievements.
