Broken shotgun alternate usage? [Spoilers: Don't view, if you haven't finished the story!]
So yes, basicly the broken shotgun goes to the "Sandwich" room by default, but if you don't go for the working one, but instead keeping it, or playing as Jill and Barry saves you then you will get to keep it.

Question is, anyone tried using the broken shotgun in the Catacombs area where you're locked in the same room with Lisa and there's a lever for a broken Flamethrower.

I keep forgetting to grab the broken Shotgun on Jill, so I never got to test it out.

Would it work if I used the broken Shotty on that lever? Anyone can confirm?

No, it won't work for this. I tried this way back when it was on Gamecube.

Ok, thank you!
Thought I would give it a try to save some time in the catacombs section, since I don't do speedruns often.
But if it doesn't work then nevermind.

The whole lisa section was not in the PSX version. It's part of the content added in the remake.

Shotgun would be too light anyway. I tried it myself in the GCN version, didn't work then and won't now.

Cause broken shotgun works as replacement for NOT broken shotgun... I tried not broken shotgun to put instead FT... It didn't worked so it shouldb'nt work with broken one.

The whole "placing flamethrowers on hooks to unlock doors" bit was present in the original 1996 version. If I'm not mistaken it was more important for Chris than it was for Jill.

If that worked then what would stop the working shotgun from working as well? I'm pretty sure this does not work.

It's the same as in the original. Jill didn't have those.
Meanwhile Chris had to carry the flamethrower to progress.
