You need to drop stuff off at an item chest.

You're confusing RE REmake with RE Zero...

Well....that is rude. Games weren't the same back then. We didn't have all the games that try to hold your hand and lead you throught the game. We were actually expected to use our own brain. I know! Crazy huh? It is game balance, get used to it. Better to have things in a box that you can access at certain points in the mansion than having to backtrack for twenty minutes because you dropped something in the main hall.

Or maybe it was a deliberate survival/tactical inventory management mechanic. And maybe the one time they did eventually try out a 'drop anywhere' mechanic, it sucked.

not from my experiance, I see it suck that I can't drop or have an item chest right next to the typewriter from where I started before seeing and killing the first zombie. I find it mind-blowing stupid that they implamented this inventory where you can't drop ♥♥♥♥ and deliberately cause you to ♥♥♥♥ yourself up without warning when the dumbass developers can't develop a single system to where I can drop ♥♥♥♥ anywhere that I can remember to pick it back up and pick something important that i need to use.

I played many resident evil games and I know for sure I remember they actually added something like this considering that the basic knife is considered useless after you got a few rounds and a pistol in the game, while later discovering a shotgun and more evil mobs... I grew up playing resident evil 3 and resident evil: Survivor, and the silent hill 2-3 and 4.

It's a major turn off for me when they implement this stupid game design in the first place...

♥♥♥♥ Call of Duty, I don't like their ♥♥♥♥♥♥, laggy ass, piece of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ servers and hacked infestation multiplayer... Nor is their single-player is easily beaten within a day... it's a waste of 60 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bucks is what it is, and I am not falling for that trap again, I boycott every single call of duty game after black ops 2.

Grew up playing Resident Evil 3... which had the exact same item box system. Silent Hill which was more story than gameplay and just let you hold infinite items.

I think you're just bad, yo. Deciding what to take with you and what to leave behind is part of the game.
Consudo Jan 22, 2015 @ 6:57pm
Calm down, you just need to get used to it. Pave your way through rooms, eventually get to a inventory box, drop useless ♥♥♥♥ in it for now. Make your way back to items you actually want/need.

This is a game from a time that treated you stupid for making stupid mistakes. So if you are messing yourself up....stop messing yourself up. That is your fault. So when you hurl insults they should be directed at YOU.

This thread does need to be closed. There is nothing here that is anything close to a problem except a person that does not know how to play a game and can't deal with it.

It sucked only because they removed item boxes.

A combination of "drop anywhere" and item boxes could work very well.

OMGZ CoD fanboy number 1 here xD Go play one of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games if you don't like true survival horror and want your hand held while playing n00b.

This whole mansion stuff is a joke. Raccoon city? Why not New York? What zombie? Have you ever seen one in Costco? Go back to your office and you can drop your stuff on anywhere. Better leave this RE-thing to game players.
