Saving Chris with Rebecca
I know the requirement is for her to make and administer the VJOLT on Plant 42 but the requirement for this to happen is for Richard to never have left the mansion correct? What's the time requirement for you to be slower than in order for him to die when she asks you to go get the serum? Or can you just re-enter the room and outright refuse to save him and he'll die?

I'm a saint and save everyone on every playthough so this'll be tough to kill him...

I just finished playtrugh and saved her WITHOUT whole VJOLT subquest.
I opened room where you should make it and then went and killed the plant, Rebeca was outside when i left the room.

No not saving her...She has to save Chris. It's an Achievement called Bravo, Rebecca. Pretty sure it has to do with her mixing the VJOLT but Richard has to die, I just don't know how long I have to wait without me getting the serum.
Bravo, Rebecca came from intentionally getting poisoned by Yawn in the ATTIC so that Rebecca then had to go get the serum for Chris. I did this because there was a Crimson in the hall just outside the attic and triggering this sequence made him disappear. xD

so maybe you have to get bitten by yawn the first time you fight him to trigger the vjolt quest bla bla, im trying to do the same thing so im wondering too. on my next play through with chris im gonna let richard die, either going back in or just getting on with my mansion business and i will get bitten from yawn too. let u know

Yes, if you're playing on easy or very easy, let the Yawn poison you early on. Exit the room after picking up the item, and Rebecca will save you there.
- That is however, very risky on any difficulty higher. As I have found out today.

So yes, letting Richard die works wonders. As soon as you get the Armor key go and flag him. Then just do everything else needed, and he will be well dead. 10 minutes at most I reckon. Might be less actually.

Oh damn, I didn't know you could get it via the first encounter with Yawn...bah hell. I literally (well maybe 30-40 minutes ago) just sacrificed the Assault Shotgun to get the achievement so she could save me in the Residence. Well now I know it works in 2 places.

The achievement ♥♥♥♥♥ in me weeps at the loss of such a fine weapon :(

I found out it's about 2 minutes...could be even less than that. I ran to the infirmary dug around in the box for a bit, killed a few stragglers, stared at the shiny floor in the main hall then decided to go back and he had croaked.

Not sure how. I was playing on Normal and not only was it not risky, as I said it saved me from having to deal with a Crimson. Rebecca had plenty of time and the path was already cleared - save the zombie in the upstairs of the dining room but he is easy to avoid.

During first fight with big snake let the snake hit u once and you get automatically poisoned. When you leave room (not sure if you MUST to get the mask, because I always get it) you get to play as Rebecca to get serum for Chris. That's your achievement.

V-Jolt only triggers if you do not save Richard. Good side Plant has half of health (you will fight him in second form and save maybe 5-6 shotgun ammo) but downside that you never get Richard Assault shotgun which he drops when he gets eated by Shark.

Not sure what risk you talking about Rebecca. Sure she has 15 bullets and one First Aid. Well if you don't clear the "main paths" for traveling in the mansion between rooms out of enemies then it's a problem on higher dificulties. I just clear some junction corridors of all enemies and have no problem even on Hard to travel between whole mansion.
