Enabling custom resolutions / 4K resolution [How To]
If you'd like to play the game at a resolution that isn't officially supported, I believe I might have just the thing for you. You'll have to edit the game's config.ini file by navigating to this location

|
|
V

"Users\Username\AppData\Local\CAPCOM\Resident Evil - biohazard@HD REMASTER"

You can do so by either enabling hidden folders in your folder settings, or you can simply type this into your search field, assuming you're running a Windows operating system.

%appdata%

Edit the config.ini file to the resolution you want. Works just fine, although I'm experiencing some minor fps drops that goes all the way down to the low 40s and then it increases back up to 60 after 2-3 secs after entering a new area.

Inside the config file you'll have something that looks a lot like this, under the Display section, tweak the resolution to your desired one.

Before

[DISPLAY]
Resolution=1920x1080
RefreshRate=60.00Hz
FullScreen=ON
VSYNC=ON

After

[DISPLAY]
Resolution=3840x2160
RefreshRate=60.00Hz
FullScreen=ON
VSYNC=ON

Hope it helps. Cheers.

Some people say higher resolution makes it look ugly. I disagree. I am playin git at 4K and it looks NICE! http://youtu.be/A_xkNvb1VAA

I agree with you, the only thing you'll notice is that the higher the res, the more it seperates the actual 3d models from the 2D backgrounds, but that's about it. I'm not too worried, I hate aliasing, so.. That's why I'm using 4K.

From what i understand when you set the custom resolution from the confiq file that is the active resolution. If you go to the in game video settings it will give you the lower resolution back because the menu system doesn't have that resolution you set. So if you set the confiq file and play the game it will have your resolution and will remember it as long as you don't go to in game video options again.

When i set it to 4k and took a screenshot it gave me a 4k screenshot and then i set the in game resolutions to 1600p and 1080p it gave me those resolution screenshots.
