Meet with Barry at balcony near Forest

Can someone explain me how to get this scene?
I've completed this game earlier on GC but still don't know what to do to meet him at balcony.

Not sure myself, perhaps after you come back from Lisas cabin outside etc, it might trigger it

Have heard that you shouldn't trigger "Jill sandwich" scene. Maybe it's true but still no success.

From what I've experienced, generally you just have to not trigger any cutscenes with Barry at all up until you get the Armor Key and go to the balcony.

I revisited an old walkthrough on YouTube that pretty much showed the same thing. The player in the video acquired the shotgun by replacing it with the broken one avoiding the Barry scene, and also avoiding the scene where he gives you acid rounds, so maybe thats part of it, but dont quote me on that.

If you took the shotgun before entering the balcony, you will meet Barry at Forest's corpse.

Ritchey i did that. I took the shotgun but still had to fight Forrest.

Get the broken shotgun and replace it with the real one (don't let barry save you from the ceiling)

Yep. Basically, you have to choose between Barry saving you from the shotgun trap, or saving you from zombie Forrest (he doesn't zombify, if Barry is there).

Bah, he didn't save me from either of them this time around. Having said that, I've played through this game a dozen times and it's always pretty evenly split whether or not I get this scene, and I always get the shotgun without Barry's help. I'd bet on it triggering by avoiding the shotgun scene and the acid rounds scene before visiting the balcony.

I triggered it for the first time ever yesterday while trying to work out a fast efficient order to do stuff. Just go there as soon as you possibly can by going straight for the necessary keys I think.

I've noticed it's triggered only if you have not triggered any other cutscenes with Barry (Bug room, acid rounds in Main Hall, shotgun ceiling collapse). It also cancels the cutscene of Barry saving you from the shotgun/ceiling collapse.

To access it, you need to get the armor key and immediately enter the balcony without triggering the acid round scene. The acid round custscene is triggered by either a) entering the Main Hall from the second story with the shotgun in your inventory or b) entering the Main Hall from the first floor with the chemical in your inventory.

In the original you can't trigger the shotgun scene. If you don't grab the shotgun prior, Barry would be on the Balcony. But if you did, he won't be there.

If you DO meet Barry at Forest's corpse, he willl NOT save you from the Shotgun trap... so keep that in mind.

Take the dog whistle first thing you do, take the key, and go straight to forest's room.
