The Cemetary Puzzle
So I'm in the cemetary place, at the part with the two dog statues that have to be turned to unlock the door.
Which way do the dogs need to be facing? I've tried every combination.

North and West i think

It is indeed North and West.

Thank you very much :D Is there any logic to that or is it just a Kim & Kanye reference? LOL!

At the beginning of the road are four signs.
North--> Location A
East--> Location B
South--> Location C
West--> Location D

If you examine the statues near the gate it will give you a hint as to it's location, and that location is the direction the wind things need to point to.

Oh yeah I missed the sign

Considering that the game came out before either were even relevant?

The dogs need to be facing away from the path. There's are set directions for each dog, but that's the goal.

You can read their inscriptions, but there's also another clue that says something to the effect of 'evil proceeds when the watchful dogs are lured from their post'. I forget where the clue is exactly, but that's how I solved it.

Strange I faced them away earlier but nothing happened

Exactly, they're not exactly relevant now either

By facing away, I meant 180 degrees away with their backs facing the path.

I did that :InkRibbon: It worked in the end though

I find that the easiest way to remember how to do this puzzle quickly, is to simply always stop the turning needle (on both wind dials) when it's facing the screen.

Read the sign...

Sign? I passed this puzzle in this way. You must watch to the same direction as a each dog.
For example, look to the same direction blue-eyed dog directed and look at the map's compass to determine the direction. Go to the blue pointer and stop it on that direction. Solved.

Another example of people not checking the backgrounds carefuly & not reading what the game gives them. Anyway I made myself a bridge for this puzzle years ago:

"NWSE it doesn't matter. Right, Right is always better"

Meaning, both arrows have to face to the lower right edge of the screen.
