Controller Remap Issue
I have a Logitech Rumblepad 2 that I use for all my games. Is there ANY way to rebind it to work like a PS3 controller instead of the Xbox style. I want basically the buttons in game to be Bottom Button= examine, Right button= cancel, Top Button= Status, Left Button= Run/Reload
R1= Map, R2= Draw Weapon, L1=Nothing, L2= Change Target.
I've tried remapping the buttons in the steam main menu but the game still defaults to xbox style and won't change. I mainly want to be able to play this game and I have tons of PS2 resident evil experience (plus the this games and 0 on the Gamecube) and just want to be able to play it like I remember.

It's impossible. CAPCOM made sure you can't do that. I have tried EVERY possible combination of button remapping and all kinds of 3rd party software to no avail. This is the biggest problem I have with the game since I can't play it with these control mappings.

The issue is that the keys are not separated to allow you to rebind them otherwise. Instead buttons are shared internally in the game code. If you want to have full control of what button does what, you will need to rewrite portions of the games controller handling code to do so.

I have the various needed addresses / functions if someone is interested in taking on the task.
Feel free to add me to Steam.
