Stuck at "Loading content" screen

I downloaded a very small update for Resident Evil HD REMASTER and ever since then I haven't been able to go beyond the loading content screen. I've tried verifying intergrity of the game cache, I've tried a fresh install, and I've tried disabling steam cloud sync for Resident Evil. Any ideas?

Also, I have 10+ hours played with no issues until this update, but I don't see anyone else having this problem.

Okay, the only remedy I have found is by going into your directory where you can find the save file, it'll be biodata.bin. should be found by the following:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user name>\304240\remote

Within this folder you'll find your biodata.bin file, what I found that worked was using somebody elses save file, I took it upon myself to use this link through this website

go to the bottom where it asks you to put in the password for the file, the password is the website name itself. Immediately upon entering the password it should prompt you for a file download, directions are there in the site but all you have to do is go in and extract their save file (biodata.bin, again) and replace it with your current save file (which is most likely corrupted data)

I'm sure there are better options, this one gives you a whole different loadout with a finished game but also lets you restart from nothing, nonetheless at least getting the game to function properly.

I'm no pro at figuring this stuff out, this just so happens to be the only way I could figure it out personally to at least be able to play the game again. Download files from other users at your own risk, of course.
