Is it possible kill plant-42 by knife no damage?

I always think there're many tough guys in Resident Evil series, lots of generations have the knife only no damage videos. As this time, resident evil hd remaster release, I want ask: is it possible knife only to kill plant-42 by use character Chris? I mean, don't use medicine, just use knife.
