CV doesn't even have a PC version at all yet.
<3 perfect
I HIGHLY doubt that 'half' of all that purchased RE2:Remake want to buy the original remastered, hell I doubt half of all RE fans want that. More likely, the break-out is about the same as Fallout 3\4\NV vs Fallout 1\2, or Oblivion\Skyrim, vs Morrowind\Daggerfall. A very loud minority that's heavily dedicated to the old games, which if I had to put a number on it, I'd say somewhere between 5 - 15%.
Anyway, I absolutely support you getting it, and them making it (though I'd not buy it), but as I said, capcom doesn't read these forums, so you're farting into the wind here.
Edit: To put things in perspective; RE fans are not just those like us that started at RE1-4, but also those that started at RE 5, 6, 7, or Village. The 10 million copies sold of RE2 Remake, did not come from RE1 original fans, but the cumilation of fans of the series throughout all the games. Hence why the tank-control crowd is undoubtedly a minority, it's been ~17-ish games since the tank-controls.
RE4 has recieved a grand total of 2 more editions (a.k.a, re-released 4 times) than Code Veronica... Veronica was re-released twice (Veronica X, and Veronica X - HD). Making Code Veronica the third most re-released resident evil game (when ignoring complete reimaginings \ remakes).
With that said, I agree we need Veronica on PC. While I'd by far prefer Remake, I'd gladly take remaster...
Do want CV on PC though, playing it on Emu and not being able to mod out door transitions was painful. Toss in Sourcenext versions of 2 and 3 and I'd be happy.
we will probably have a code veronica remake after 4
thats the charm of the classic games i love it
Original RE4 on GC, then PS2, Wii Edition, the Sourcenext PC port around 2007, PS3+360, the "Ultimate HD" edition on Steam, PS4, an Android version that for some reason exists, a VR Version released less than two years ago, and now the reimagining. Holy crap, there's literally two F-ing "Resident Evil 4" games on Steam store right now...
All RECV got, besides the PS3 remaster, were just a bunch of minimal effort straight ports. Not a single bit of content added or significant gameplay changes ever made.
Capcom obviously loves milking their favorite game over and over again, while ignoring certain others or treating them like trash (like they did with reimagined RE3).
exactly, well analyzed
