What Biohazard means?
I always see this Biohazard on the resident evil title when I"m wandering around steamgifts, and I think it's actualyl a bundle, but it's the name of the game.

What that exactly means? Biohazard...

To explain it a little better.
Biohazard is the original title originated in Japan.
It was supposed to be the same worldwide, but due to copyright Capcom was forced to pick a different title. That's how "Resident Evil" was born.
It's "Resident Evil" worldwide while it's "Biohazard" in Japan.
Same "brand", 2 different names.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

But was it used before?
Dfactor Oct 31, 2015 @ 12:56pm
They are being used in parallel in different regions.
Like I said. In Japan this game is Biohazard HD. While in other regions this is Resident Evil HD.
On Steam the titles are united for clarification purposes.

no I mean, you said copyright reasons, so did someone had that idea before?

oh. I saw the word band but my brain didn't processed xD
I don't understand that just because there's a band named Biohazard, that means there can't be a game called Biohazard. Does this mean there there can never be a movie called Biohazard? A tv series? It's a completely different entertainment medium!

Biohazard is another name for when you smell or step in dog poopies.

No really "Biohazard" is the Japanese name of the game in Asia Pacific.
Here in Nroth America it's "Resdient Evil".

The dog poopies thing was just for fun.

Now don't have nightmares about Japanese dog poop.
:-p

A little bit correction for OP. It wasn't copyright, it was recognizability.
"In late 1994, Capcom Entertainment in the US was starting to ramp up marketing plans for the game," explained Kramer, who pointed out that while the company had settled on the name Biohazard for Japan, "it would be next to impossible for Capcom to register the name in the US." He called out a "crappy DOS-based game" and a New York-based punk band, both named 'Biohazard,' as potential hurdles to securing the title. "As a result," recalled Kramer, "the head of marketing held a company-wide contest to come up with a new name for the game."

Thank you, that makes a bit more sense.
