Same. Those two are my favorites. A remastered CV on PC would be great. A full remake even better!
Yeah, sadly GOG can only do re-releases of games that already existed on PC. I've wanted a port of the RECV remaster to PC for a long time... but I gave up at this point.
The PS3 version has different lighting and proper widescreen (instead of the stretched PS4 version thats just a port of the PS2)

As long as you choose to install the Japanese version, which they also give to you once you buy it there.
I don't keep up with this sorta thing but I'm 90% positive I've read before that although REbirth was designed around the mediakite version it'll work with any jpn version(since Rebirth comes with it's own exe. There is patch that makes the usa version compatible too on nexusmods.)
I pretty sure the jpn version included with the gog release is an older release and not the mediakite version. Same for RE2 and 3. If you check the gog forums some people been given access to pre-release versions and they've confirmed they aren't the Sourcenext versions, but rather the older og releases.
