You can save up to two people. One requires you to find 3 items which you need to use on 3 different locations (you'll get it, once you're there),
the other one....lets say you need to trust him, despite what he may have done earlier. (and keep an eye out for him at the very end of the game)

Yea its not like other horror games or games in general where the good ending is super complicated. You just be a decent person and do the right things and good ending.

I actually find it kinda hard to get the bad ending.

Okay but I keep seeing people telling to wait for Barry to get the 2nd rope. Is it really necessary to get the best ending for Jill?

Yes - in the Original. The rope scene doesn't even happen in the Remake.

Saving Barry was more difficult (and easily missable) in the original RE1. You had to wait for him to get the rope, and you had to pick the correct choice during a scene at the courtyard underground. They made it simpler in Remake by making it based on just one choice.

I prefer how it was in the original...not because figuring out what to do was more obtuse but because that scene in the Remake is so stupid. After the mini boss they just act like Barry pulling his gun never happened.

I still have the trauma for not getting the good ending in Revelations 2. What you mentioned about RE1 original gave me the flashback.

That's why I'm trying to make it sure that I get the best ending this time, on RE1 HD Remaster.

Surprised no one mentioned the Tyrant can kill someone in the final fight too if you don't do enough damage to hold his attention. Pretty rare to happen though.

According to his chapter in Umbrella Chronicles, he wasn't. Just like Ada in RE2 he somehow got out of the lab and the mansion before everything blew up.
