Code Veronica doesn't use pre-rendered backgrounds. It uses 3D modeled enviroments. Much like Silent Hill and Dino Crisis 1.
It is arguably impossible to use 3D camera angles in REmake unless they rebuild the whole thing.
A few weapons (Like the sniper) would be in first person for when you aimed.
He means Gun Survivor 2.
There was a first person mode in Code Veronica;). It was a minigame though...
First person, or 3rd person over the sholder mode (like RE4) should be a peice of piss, and quite frankly, including it would be the only reason why I'd buy the game. I never played the original game because I couldn't aim worth a ♥♥♥♥ on that fixed perspective camera BS that they used.
Over the shoulder would not work for this game at all, it's port of the Gamecube REmake just remastered that's all it is to it. there is nothing wrong with the fixed camera.
An over the shoulder perspective is impossible without a 3D environment. Personally I love the gameplay style as it is, and would like to see new RE games done in this style using pre-rendered graphics once more. It would look amazing no doubt.
