Chris is easier for hard mode and if you are familiar with the game.
Chris
- 6 Inventory Slots
- Has more Health
- Has lighter (for burning zombies, kinda useless otherwise)
- Gets the Assault Shotgun Later
- Gets Flamethrower (not very good)
- Has flash grenades as defense items (Instant Kill)
- Has Rebecca as a partner (weaker plot than Jill and Barry’s)
JillAs you can probably tell, Jill’s playthrough is kind of an “easy mode” in and of itself but I highly recommend anyone to play with her for their first playthrough. Her story scenarios also end up being far more interesting than Chris and Rebecca’s.
Jill's over all is the easier of the two but there's no wrong answer here. I'd recommend Jill first though as that will feel like a more natural difficulty curve.
I’m just trying to help anyone who may not know that Chris may offer a more challenging experience.
So Jill is more suitable for a first playthrough. Chris' advantages are harder to notice at first, although they will come in handy in following playthroughs (especially challenge runs).
Jill's lower HP shouldn't be an issue since the highest difficulty available on a first playthrough is Normal (Hard must to be unlocked), while Chris' smaller inventory can be a pain the first time.
