Capcom did mention RE in a recent interview with Famitsu, translated here:

It does not say much and I question the accuracy of the translation, but hopefully a sign that Capcom will finally wake up, realize that the old RE games are highly sought after, and bring them to PC with high quality ports (this year if we are lucky).
But Crapcom being so out of touch with the fanbase and inconsistent in terms of quality, I never know what to expect with this outfit.
