The .357 S&W is a VERY powerful 9mm, In fact underestimated. BUT I think for the sake of Resident Evil you would want to be carrying the .44 Magnum. Just cause if you're going to have a magnum pistol for pest control it SHOULD be an artillery piece. Dirty Harry was thee shining example.
i think just the hunters in original 1 for psx are a little harder then. the re3 nemesis are the real threat
More the other way around. RE1 Hunters are the most dangerous ones. Yes, RE3s Hunter Betas and Gammas are a little bit more agile and tend to do tiny hops more often, but unlike the RE1 Hunter you can shoot them out of the air, effectivly interupting their leap attacks. Same goes when they are on the ground.
In RE1 you had to wait until they stood up again before delivering the final blow.
What also plays into the difficulty is how the game improved between RE1 and RE3. You are slower, way less agile (no 180° turn) and cant dodge anything in RE1.
If I would have to list them I would say the "Hunter"- chart would look like this:
RE1 Hunter > RE3 Hunter > RECVX Hunter/Sweeper > RE3R Hunter > RE0 Hunter > RE1R Hunter > RE Revelations Hunter/Farfarello
yes, like i undertood, the re1 (original psx) hunters are the dangerous ones, when the remake ones are very weak (in comparison). so i must remember the original ones, but already in the gamecube version they were nerfed
