I haven't played them. However, they seem fun and similar to RE in some ways!
Its one of the few games that offer the option for fixed cameras + tank controls. Just like RE1 HD and RE0 HD.*
Gameplay is pretty similar. Collect items to get access to new areas, fight of zombies and monsters with limited ammo, manage your rather small inventory and fight the occasional boss here and there. Main difference to RE would be the more occult theme of the game. You'll face magic, portals and spiritual stuff.
Event its saving system is kinda like RE. Just instead of Ink Ribbons and Typewriters you have to rely on LPs and Grammophones.
Its also quite long. Especially compared to games like the RE3 Remake.
Downsides - if you care for those aspects - are the sometimes stiff animations, mixed qualitiy of voice acting and not exactly grade AAA cinematics.
On the plus side its riddled with love for details, a tense atmosphere, a fitting OST and some really clever puzzles.
All in all, for a game made by a very small studio, its quite the gem.
*It also allows you play it with fixed cam + modern controls or even in full 3rd Person mode where it feels more like Resident Evil 2 Remake.
Highly recommend that everyone try it:
