J-VOLT?

So i play this game on Normal chris and i remember in the old game from 1996 if i go to plant 42
chris gets captured and rebecca does the JVOLT but in this remake i dont even get the Option to make the JVOLT is that on purpose or did i do something wrong?

in chris case the V jolt part is a bit finicky as it has a condition to occur that requires you to FAIL at a task beforehand which is counter intuitive to most players.

rebecca only gets to make the Vjolt IF you let richard DIE by the poisen before. if you save him you wont get the option to make V jolt at all as chris. and your only choice is to fight plant 42 by force.

why they did that in the remake i have no idea tbh. maybe its cause of the free 10 extra shotgun shells and better shotgun if you safe richard ? only thing i can think about as a reason maybe. on the other hand jill gets it aswell soo.... no clue.

yes can confirm. I let Richard die, not on purpose, just didn't know it is time based. So I didn't rush and when I came back he was dead and I could not use serum

But Rebecca then helped with J-VOLT
