This is usually done by pressing WASD. Chris can also use daggers for this, and Jill can use a stun gun.

You don't. In old Resident Evil, you just wait until the zombie finishes having their way with you... unless you have defense items

... I dont get why you want to troll a new player like that. Is this somehow fun to you?

Troll? That's how the game works. You just have to wait. This isn't RE4 lol

You still want to keep acting dumb?

I want to say savagekidd90 is trolling because he basically ignores the video he's replying to, but I have seen actual classic RE fans not knowing that mashing your way out of grabs is a thing ever since the original RE1, and his previous replies according to his post history are not all that troll-ish, so...I dunno, he might just not know.

That vid was for OP, so I didn't watch. But say in RE4 you get the HUD indicator to shake the stick all around. RE1 doesn't have that. What's next, can you prevent being bitten on RE2 and RE3 HD?
Also, *she

Ok, if you seriously didnt know that its ok.
Re2 remake? No, you can get a dodge if enemy tried to grab you from too afar with cool animation but thats itt.
Re3 remake offers you a dodge move.

Also in LOTS of games if you are grabed, dazed, stunned and etc you are required to mash buttons or wiggle stick to recover faster. That kind of info was probaly covered in manuals but for majority of players its kinds basics of gameplay like a WASD movement.

Yeah, this was always mentioned in the old manuals.

RE1make is already kind of an outlier in that *only* mashing the directional buttons gets you out of grabs, while in the older RE titles both that and mashing the face buttons would work.

Also, just to clarify, getting out of grabs doesn't mean that you won't get bitten, that is unavoidable once you're grabbed, but you get out of grabs faster and take way less damage than doing nothing.

RE2make has no way to get out of grabs faster without a defense weapon but the amount of damage you take on standard difficulty is about on par with the amount of damage you take in the RE1make if you get out of grabs faster.

So just mash face buttons? Or dpad? Or both lol.. I use a controller so that's what I got to work with

In Re1HD you wiggle your left analogue stick or dpad.

There are 2 ways
- hit the movement keys fast
- use personal items like knives/grenades
