Why didn’t Barry save me from yawn

Playing Jill if bitten you usually wake up in serum save room

Nope, what game are you talking about? Because it's Richard that saves you in this game (if you save him with the serum). If you get poisoned as Jill you have to run all the way to the safe room you got the serum from for Richard.

If yawn poisons you as Jill when you leave the room a cut scene happens with Jill reacting to the poison and collapses then what I believed was Barry comes and takes Jill to the serum room where Jill recovers

It depends how many times you've seen Barry, certain events change when you trigger a different one.

This is also a remaster of the remake so I'm not even sure if this is in the version on Steam. If it is, I've never seen it and I've played through it over 12 times as Jill. This must be an incredibly rare event because I've never seen it.

As the titles of the video says "Alternative scene".
Played this game several times and I have never seen this. As Jill, every time I got poisoned, I had to run for the serum myself. I never seen her passing out in this part.

I think it may only happen if you don’t save Richard I usually save him

If your health drops to the Poisoned-Caution or Poisoned-Danger after you leave the attic, Barry will appear and heal Jill. Regardless if you save Richard or not.
