Yes and I think that's bullcrap. Should be optional, because I don't find this fun at all, certainly not in RE1. I already hate all the other changes they made from the original, like Crimson Heads or the whole Lisa Trevor part and worst of all the changed cut-scenes and dialogue... I think the original PS1/PC RE was way better than the Gamecube remake we got the remaster of...
I actually don't mind the Tyrant in RE 2 or Nemesis in 3, both can at least be stunned/temporarily downed, also I think the different level design works better for them. I just don't like it in RE1, but I guess my biggest complaint is that it's just not what I want from a real RE1 remake/remaster, because I want the game to be how I originally enjoyed it... I actually really enjoyed the RE 2 remake, because while changing a lot, at it's core it still feels true to the original. And it doesn't have stupid mechanics like Crimson Heads or One Dangerous Zombie (which I wouldn't mind as it's own mode, but making it non-optional after 2 playthroughs is just ridiculous).
In that case I'm really glad they decided against it!
Why don't you make a Jill/Chris only save and just overwrite that one, afaik you have to finish the game with both on the same save file to enable him?
got a question with this option:
What I understand is, that as long as I do not start a game via "once again", this modification is not active, right?
Now I really want to gain some more achievements, thus now I need to play with the other character, but after I finished the game, what do I have to do to (a) play with the unlocked weapons und costumes and (b) without this game mode?
Since RE1 uses the steam cloud I need to turn it off, right?
