RE2 Remake - Fixed camera VS Third person VS First person
Fixed camera for me by far, The OG RE2 was like that so they should stay loyal to the the game, and to the fans of it of course. I'm definitely won't buy it if it's going to be first person, if it's third person I may consider it. What do you people think?

I'd definitely prefer fixed cameras for the remake. Or at least combining fixed cameras with a third person aiming perspective, similar to Cold Fear or the RE3.5 beta above mentioned, that's a pretty good camera system. But definitely NOT over the shoulder the whole game and not first person view either.

I don't know how I missed the "RE2 Remake" part of the thread title the first time around...

If REmake was extremely faithful to the classic and then some, then they ought to do the same for 2 & 3. Unlike RE1 though, 2 & 3 aged fairly well all over, so I'm not sure what's gonna happen in a remake aside from the obvious upgrades.

how about let the player decide in the option menu. why must it be one or the other?

I'd like the option to switch the views & also have the tank controls & modern controls options.
There's a fan made RE2 remastered project video on youtube that shows gameplay with different views.

I completely forgot that they gave you the option to switch camera styles in that RE5 DLC, meaning the possibility to have the same thing is definitely there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eXD92_keI4

Well ı will happily buy it as long as they keep fixed camera. I dont care if they add third person and first person camera extra though. This should also apply to re3 remake and recv remake if they decide to remake it.

Fixed (but also more dynamic) cameras please, also I expect them to modernise the formula, so better implemented modern controls instead of tank (maybe have tank as a secondary option), also better autoaim. Basically Silent Hill 2/3 treatment.
I can also live with over the shoulder if I have to. First person can go die in a ditch.

For autoaim, it should be like outbreak file 2 or something so that hitting lickers will be easier. Also they should slow the reloading speed of grenade launcher(do it like outbreak).

I would hope that fixed camera would at least be an option. That's the only way I'd be interested in it.

Sadly it isn't. Have you tried to kill the enemy that patrolls the mansion section of LIN when playing with fixed camera angles? Aiming is nearly impossible, the laser sight/crosshair system the series borrowed from the shooter genre doesn't work with fixed camera angles, unless the game switches views when aiming. But then, it won't be fixed cameras the entire game unless they ditch the TPS/FPS aiming.

Fixed like in classic RE, it it will be TPP or FPP it will end up as an action game. Like RE4+

I would say make it like code veronica where it's fixed cameras that move a little bit to make it look a little bit more modern.

It could have auto-aim when fixed camera angles are active.

I want it to be like RE5. Challenge should be coming from gameplay not crappy camera angels and controls.

I dont think it should be like re5. If it does, the game will get much more hate from people compared to games like re6, re gaiden, umbrella corps etc. Dont get me wrong re games like these are not bad games in general. They are just bad survival horror games. And since re2 is also a survival horror re game, its remake should be survival horror too.
