where does one farm to get these, i need some of them to upgrade my gear

lol you can get them anyplace ..its dependent on your magic find. The higher that is the better they will drop. I have found shadow gear in the beginner world but I have high magic find.

Do not worry about gear rarity as you progress. The only thing that is sort of fixed is Stellar Ring, which can be obtained via Ringcrafting or trading with flux.

The quest will keep carrying you towards level 20, 5000 Power Rank. This is where you will be asked to get Crystal Level 1 Weapon, which is good enough for your cause. Afterwards, either hoping a nice carry to get Crystal Hat/Face drop; or ignore Topside questline for a while to progress in gems instead.
