Trion is doing the same they did with Rift, right now they are turning the game into something closer to a "pay to win" and they dont even think about how bad and laggy the game is running, lag, bugs, both things they should focus on before doing this pay to win scrap.
And dont even try to contact the support, they ll just reply with a random automated wall of text. Even if you are patron, they just dont care, and its really too bad, because both Rift and Trove are amasingly fun and fresh games.
Well thats not true, i used the online chat support and there was a real person behind the screen that tried to help me out (but yeah he used some copy paste posts as well, which are meant to be of some extra help for those people who got at least a tiny bit of patients ) .
You should try opening the ports :
Lobby - 6560
Gameservers - 37001-37499
If that doesnt help there are small apps that while not improving the ping they reduce the chances of having big lag spikes and give you a smoother experience ( no big spikes ).
Google is your best friend : )
Edit : You can whine all you want about P2W but a game needs to earn money somehow, and when you are playing a free game you need to expect the people behind it to try and earn from it in some way so it wont be removed.
Also you can still get any none cosmetic stuff in the game without paying a damn $ and that is far from being trivial in the F2P market. Kids just lack the patient to think things through and tend to go on an all out attack just about anything, to many hormones or some ♥♥♥♥ : ).
1. You enter a specific IP adress on the http:// ( i not sure if its different between every router but when you google it will probably say the ip you need to enter for your router )
2. You log in with admin / admin ( if you didnt change those log in details )
3. You scroll the different menu's until you find the forwarding section.
4. You add 2 new rows, its always from port X , to port Y. so you add 37001-37499 and another row with 6560-6560 ( since its only 1 port ) .
5. There are more things to fill in in there, it asks udp or tcp ( you got option to select "Both" which is probably the best ) , and a field where you enter your ipv4 , you can find it by going to "cmd" and typing ipconfig ( 1 of the lines will be ipv4 with an IP ).
6. then you save and thats it.
If you google it this is what they will write for every router, but there are some nice guides with pictures and more info, the whole process takes around 1 minute once you learn how to do it, and its worth learning since many times games are performing bad online because of blocked ports.
