We have servers in Dallas, TX in the US and in Amsterdam for Europe. Since the game is free to play, if you don't have it installed already, you can download it and hop in to see how your specific performance is.
To clarify, latency and disconnects are not related to the physical server hardware, so this isn't a server issue. When a large group of players are accessing a lot of small game worlds in two large data centers there can be strain, for sure.
the network issue was the only reason i stopped playing the game 18 months ago, seeing nothing have been done to fixed it. i guess... ill continue playing other games and dropping my cash on them instead, so sad and this game i used to spend around 300 USD to play and was fine with doing so oh well
Tbh, u'd think in the weekends u get the biggest serverload, not on a monday..
i"m happy though i didn't spend any money on this game
When a player DC's it's related to the connection of the player to the Server.
When a player rubberbands back to an earlier spot in the game, that's due to latency via connection ping to the server.
If a Server cannot handle a load of connections properly then it is in fact a problem with the server's physical hardware. Or lack there of.
I live in Canada and can easily connect to countless US/NA Servers in other games perfectly fine. Heck, I can setup a Per-to-per connection and even that is fine. Yet in Trove, I still rubberband around like I'm on Dial-up. And seeing how I have 1 Gigabit DL and tested different connections to US servers. Yeah, I'd say it's a Trove Server problem.
While quite often the connection strength is the fault of the Player, Trove's connection issues has been around for YEARS. Many players from all over, no matter the signal strength have had issues and you mean to say that it's not a Server related issue? If I recall correctly, It was mentioned a long, long time ago that they (devs) are aware of sever lag and had it on the supposed "road map" for improvements. Seems like it was all just damage control. Funny enough, I think you're also doing damage control as well.
