As far as using them to farm Prime/Elemental Worlds, there are WAY better options like Shadow Hunter, Lunar Lancer, and Neon Ninja.
Although if you are thinking about Shadow Towers, both are retty good to have in a team. Both can run Tank and DPS builds to better help the team. Both has good CC and they have different abilities that can help the team like Candy Barb can buff the team with more attack speed with his ult and and Rev can debuff enemies to take more damage.
As far as DPS goes, Rev does out DPS a CB with a full DPS build (PD/CH/CD) even after the Spirit Spears exploit was fixed. Rev can even tank with a DPS build since using both your base and spirit spears attack can heal you significantly to the point of being indestructable (as long as you are continuously attacking an enemy because if you stop you'll slowly die out of self inflicting damage).
CB is more of a safer option of the two but its up to you what you want to play because both are pretty good on their own.
